The Business of Human Rights in the Workplace

While some of its staff is in Thompson on Tuesday March 19, 2013 at youth rallies in two local schools, the Manitoba Human Rights Commission is offering a pro-active approach to human rights in the workplace. Registered participants comprised of employers, supervisors, and human resource specialists are taking the popular seminar "The Business of Human Rights in the Workplace".

During this half day workshop, a human rights facilitator discusses: discrimination and harassment under The Human Rights Code, how to avoid mistakes during the hiring process, and reasonable accommodation.   The seminar will also address the importance of initiating policies, which benefit both employer and present and future employees.
