Many human rights complaints are resolved through mediation to the satisfaction of both parties. The Commission has a high success rate of resolving complaints in this way. The following pages are examples of real settlements. In some cases, especially where the settlement has resulted in providing greater access to services or removing barriers, the parties have agreed to have their names identified.
